You can learn in 1 day
what it took someone 10 years to learn.
When I first started my financial coaching business, there was a lot of make-shift, hacking things together and "learning as I go."
There were many tear filled nights of frustration and confusion on why people weren't signing up for my coaching program.
I mean, I knew I had something amazing to offer. I knew I could empower people to change their lives and get their finances in order, but for some reason, I couldn't seem to get that to translate into profit.
Thankfully, I'm past those tear filled, confused days and have built up a profitable coaching business that continually makes money and impacts thousands of people per year.
But this is about YOU, not me.
What I Know For Sure
There's a lot of financial coaches out there, but not very many are making a decent profit, let alone able to survive off their coaching income.
In fact, most coaches I've spoken with feel pretty confident with the material they are teaching, but are struggling to get leads, close sales, and converting people on their email list to paid coaching clients.
I get it.
I used to struggle with sales as well, until I started learning about product-market-fit and digital marketing (specially how you can use digital marketing as a financial coach).
I also know for sure that people quit too soon.
Those that stay in the arena, keep testing, and do work that moves the needle (instead of busy-work), will find results. Definitely not overnight results, but over a couple of years, you will see some true progress.
Why Most Coaches Fail
(and how you can lower your chances of failure)
There are really a few big reasons on why financial coaches don't find success:
1) They didn't find a niche willing to pay
2) They think they can partner with advisors and others and have a constant flow of leads and sales coming through
3) They think being a financial coach is just sitting behind their laptop and working with people
It seems simple, but there is so much that goes into each of these three reasons.
For starters, finding a niche is critical to getting paid as a coach and while partnering with advisors can be helpful, in 99% of situations they don't generate nearly enough leads.
Lastly, as a financial coach, this might be a bit disappointing to hear- but you will need to become a marketing fanatic. The world is online and coaches who don't embrace digital marketing-- won't last very long.
The online world is constantly bombarding us and people are skeptical (especially when it comes to their finances).
As a financial coach, you must learn to:
That's why Become a Financial Coach has a heavy emphasis on marketing yourself online and building up your overall brand.
You might be wondering...
why this course?
As my own coaching business grew, started gaining national attention, and expanded to reach hundreds of thousands of people per month, a lot of aspiring coaches began reaching out asking for advice on starting their own business.
When I took the time to understand other financial coach's struggles, I realized I could help.
I am sick of seeing people's dreams go down the drain because they couldn't figure out a way to generate coaching leads.
There is PLENTY of room for other coaches who are passionate about helping others and ready to share their perspectives and strategies, but they aren't given a fair shot at success.
Now let me be clear- I'm not promising that by going through this course you will have a six-figure coaching business, quit your job, and become the next Dave Ramsey.
But I do believe that by going through this course, you are giving your business a fair shot at success and have enough information to get started, enhance your online presence, and help people better their financial lives.
Become a Financial Coach provides lifetime access to the everything you need to get your business started.
You will have access to all course updates and special bonuses each time they are added.
Become A Financial Coach Is For You If...
You want to learn how to help people pay off debt, live on a budget, or plan for the future AND get paid for it.
If you've been curious about how to build a profitable coaching business but don't know where to start, this course is for you. You'll learn how to find your niche, systems that will help you run your business, how to set up your automated email sequences, a sales funnel sequence that will help you generate sales, consistent leads, and provide content that speaks directly to your dream clients.
You want to wake up to a calendar with coaching calls booked.
If you're a financial coach and you don't have coaching calls scheduled on your calendar, you need to take this course. Helping people is exactly why you're building a coaching business and it's very possible to have coaching calls on your calendar by going through the modules in this course.
You feel overwhelmed and have no idea where to start.
If you are the type of person who needs a step by step plan to follow, this course is for you. I've created this to have each module and lesson build on the previous and show you what to do. Each lesson has homework assignments so you'll be able to walk away with a full-fledge action plan to launch or grow your coaching business.
You want to sell without being salesy.
Confession time: I used to really dislike sales. I thought it was scammy. But thankfully, I've learned that being great a sales is not scammy if you believe in your products and if you come from a place of serving others. This course covers how to best sell your services and not feel like you're selling your soul in the process.
You have an idea of how you would like to structure your coaching calls and don't need education on what topics to cover during your calls.
If you already know what types of exercises you would have people do in your calls, what topics you'd like to cover during your coaching calls and have a basic idea of what content your calls would encompass, this course will help you. Become a Financial Coach goes through setting up and running your business. While I do share how my coaching packages are structured, you will not see exactly what topics I cover in my coaching calls with clients. Mostly because each client is unique and the conversations are customized to help them.
You see other financial coaches that generate a lot of attention and think to yourself, if they can do it, I can do it too!
You're right! The only thing that separates coaches in this industry is how they brand and market themselves. That's why this course is for you if you want to dive full force into digital marketing (but not feel so overwhelmed). The Crash Courses on traffic generating strategies will be super helpful for you to gain exposure and share your expertise.
Become A Financial Coach Is Definitely NOT For You If...
You are looking for an easy way to make money online or "get rich quick."
Building a business is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. It takes YEARS to build up to a full-time income, so if you're looking for a quick fix or overnight success strategy, this for certain is NOT the course for you. I do share a few hacks and tips to help you short-cut the learning curves, but being a profitable coach requires patience and a long-term strategy.
You just want to coach and have no interest in marketing.
Honestly, if you are just looking to be a coach and are not willing to learn how to market yourself and build a brand, this course is not for you. In fact, you might consider look into companies that hire coaches directly instead of building your own business.
You are the type of person who takes courses, but never takes action.
As much as I like making money, I like seeing you take action and grow your own business. So if you are the type of person who is constantly in learning mode, but not willing to take action on what you're learning, I can guarantee that this course (and any other) will be a huge waste of your money.
You are looking for education on how to actually coach someone.
The content you cover in your coaching calls, what to say to someone you're coaching, and strategies you should use to help guide someone through your financial life is NOT covered in this course. This is such a personal strategy that you must create. For example, my style of helping my coaching clients create a budget might be totally different than your and our approaches for best ways to pay off debt might also be entirely different. These are just a few reasons why this course doesn't go into the nitty gritty of how to coach.
You are un-coachable.
Ironically, this course teaching you how to Become a Financial Coach is not for you if you are un-coachable. If you are the type of person who would rather argue about strategy as opposed to diving in and testing it out for yourself, you should probably pass on this course. I know the strategies shared throughout this course work. This course does focus on customer discovery, identifying unique factors about your ideal clients, and traffic generating strategies that work, but you have to test with your own audiences to see what works for your business.
